The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it truly is alarmed regarding the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular SRD basis. The support stage created for intervention ordeals a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
